What do you think about Loikrathong festival?

I think Loikrathong festival is good and important festival for Thai people so everyone should preserve it. This festival is the Thai believe that I like to go to float Krathong with my mom and sister at the river. I pray and thanks the God of river that the God give me the water to use in everyday.^^

I think, Loy Krathong festival is a special festival. People go to river for loy Krathong and pray for good things to come and bad things to go away. There are many activities in Loy Krathong day.

I think, Loikrathong festival is a symbol of Thailand because I never heard Loikrathong festival in other country. In Thailand only. For this festival, people will create krathong babano leaves. Then they put flower, incense and candle in the krathong and go to river for float it on the water. People usually go with thier lover, friends or family. Loikratong is the festival for apologize God of river or Pramae Kong Ka. Thai people belive, if we apologize Pramea Kong ka we will success in agriculture. Before we float a krethong we will prayers for the God; pray for good health, rich, good as, good looking more and more, fine soulmate and many things that our want.

I think Loy Krathong festival is a good Thai culture. The people apologize and pray the goddess of river. I used to make Krathong from the banana leaves and tree. It is the river preserving. I usually float the Krathong with my friends and my family. In Loy Krathong festival, there are many activities such as making merit in the morning, Kratong Contest and The Noppamas Queen Contest in the evening.

I think it’s a good festive of Thailand. It makes me have opportunity to apology the mother of water. We should to go to enjoy with this festival. Do not forget that if we don’t have the water, we cannot live until nowadays. This festival there is one a year, so we could not miss it. It’s not a day to find someone but if that day is your day, you may be found him or her. However, we should keep doing to preserve the water. Do it in everyday to help the world.

That's a sign indicating that Loy Krathong is on its way. In Thai Loy means to float and Krathong means a circular floating object with decoration of banana leaves, flowers, a candle and incense sticks. All these are related to Loy Krathong, an event which does not occur on the same date every year; instead it counts on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month. In this year 2007 it will be held on November 24, a romantic night. People look forward to going out and launching Krathongs together to predict the romance future by the direction the Krathongs float. However, this season is also good for strengthening relationship in family.
